EV CHARGERS
- Choose a location: The first step is to choose a location for the EV charger. Ideally, this should be in a convenient location near your car’s parking spot and close to your electrical panel.
- Get in touch with Protest Electrical: Next, you should hire a licensed and qualified electrician to install the charger. We will be able to assess your home’s electrical capacity and determine if any upgrades or modifications are needed to support the EV charger.
- Choose the right charger: There are different types of EV chargers available, and the type you choose will depend on your vehicle’s charging capabilities and your charging needs. Check out our top 3 recommended chargers below. We choose to use these charger brands as they all have different strengths depending on a customers needs whether the focus is on budget, utility or aesthetics there is a suitable charger for every customer. If however a customer would like a specific charger not on our list we are happy to install other brands.
- Obtain any necessary permits: Depending on your location, you may need to obtain permits from your city or county before installing an EV charger. Protest Electrical can assist with this.
- Install the charger: Once you have everything in place, one of our electricians will install the EV charger. This will involve running wires from your electrical panel to the charging location, mounting the charger on the wall, and connecting it to the electrical system.
- Test the charger: Once the installation is complete a complete test will be carried out with certification.
