Lutron Lighting & Underfloor Heating for a Luxury Pool House in Chippenham

This luxury pool house installation in Great Somerford, Chippenham combined advanced electrical, lighting, heating, and energy management technologies to create a comfortable, efficient, and highly automated space. The installation included more than 120 lighting points, requiring a sophisticated control system capable of managing multiple areas while maintaining a clean and minimalist interior.

Lutron lighting system

The Lutron lighting system was selected to provide the customer with a premium, uncluttered finish by significantly reducing the number of wall switches required. Instead, lighting throughout the space can be controlled from a single fully programmable keypad, offering advanced dimming, scene control, load management, and automated functions that help improve energy efficiency.

With more than 120 light fittings in this area of the installation, it was essential to provide an intuitive and efficient way to control different zones. The Lutron system allows the customer to effortlessly manage multiple lighting areas, creating the perfect ambience while simplifying day-to-day operation.

Carbon fleece underfloor heating

Carbon Fleece underfloor heating was chosen for its ultra-thin design, allowing it to be installed directly within the tile adhesive without significantly increasing the finished floor height. This made it the ideal solution where maintaining low floor levels was important.

Unlike traditional underfloor heating systems, Carbon Fleece heats up rapidly, providing faster warmth and improved comfort. The system also operates on SELV (Safety Extra-Low Voltage), making it an excellent choice for environments such as this pool room, where floors may be exposed to moisture or damp conditions. Combining safety, efficiency, and ease of installation, it delivered a discreet and effective heating solution for this project.

Tesla Powerwall 3 with Gateway

To further enhance the performance and efficiency of this installation, a Tesla Powerwall 3 Gateway was integrated into the system. This provides advanced energy management capabilities, helping optimise energy usage and improve resilience across the property.
