Garden & Outdoor Lighting Installation in Chippenham

Protest Electrical recently completed a garden and outdoor lighting installation in Bristol on behalf of one of our regular customers, upgrading the external lighting throughout the grounds of an impressive period manor property.

Outdoor Lighting Around the Garden & Swimming Pool

For this stage of the project, we installed new exterior lighting throughout the garden areas, including lighting around the property's outdoor swimming pool.

Due to the exposed environment, it was important that the electrical installation provided suitable protection against water and the British weather. We installed IP68-rated outdoor light fittings, with the electrical supplies run using SWA (steel wire armoured) cable.

Underground connections were made using suitable outdoor conduit boxes, glands and Magic Gel compound, providing a durable and weather-resistant solution for electrical joints installed externally and underground.

Automatic Garden Lighting Controls

The customer also wanted the outdoor lighting to operate automatically without requiring someone to be at the property.

We installed a stand-alone timer with remote control, working alongside a photocell. The photocell monitors the ambient light level and allows the garden lighting to operate automatically once the natural light falls below the required lux level.

This provides the customer with convenient control over the lighting while ensuring the grounds can still be illuminated automatically when they are away from home.
