Commercial LED Car Park Lighting Upgrade at Weston Lock Retail Park, Bath

Protest Electrical recently completed a commercial LED lighting upgrade at Weston Lock Retail Park in Bath, replacing the existing external lighting with modern, energy-efficient LED lanterns.

Energy-Efficient LED Lighting Upgrade

The existing lighting installation was upgraded using energy-efficient LED alternatives, providing improved efficiency while reducing the energy consumption associated with lighting the retail park.

With our experience in commercial electrical installations and street lighting, we were able to plan the works carefully to minimise disruption to businesses, visitors and vehicle movements throughout the retail park.

Safe Installation with Minimal Disruption

To reduce disruption and potential hazards to the public, the new LED light fittings were prepared off-site before installation. The works were then carried out outside normal trading hours, allowing our electricians to complete the installation safely while minimising interference with customers and businesses.

Safety barriers and appropriate signage were used throughout the works to maintain a controlled working area.

Due to the location of the lighting columns, uneven ground conditions and restricted access to some areas, we used MEWP access (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) to safely reach the existing lighting. This also allowed our team to move efficiently between lighting columns throughout the site.

Electrical Testing & Inspection

Following completion of the LED lighting upgrade, our electricians carried out testing and a condition assessment of the installation.

This included checking the operation of the lighting controls, time clock, photocell sensor and new LED lighting to ensure the complete system was operating correctly.

Once the installation and testing were complete, the working areas were cleared and all waste materials and removed equipment were taken from site for appropriate disposal.
