We carried out an upgrade to the existing lighting at Weston Lock Retail park in Bath with energy efficient equivalent LED lanterns, making the Lux levels suitable for this heavily used carpark.
Due to our background knowledge in street lighting we decided to make up the fittings off site and installed them out of hours to lessen any hazard to the general public and any vehicle movement. Safety barriers and signage was used throughout the installation. We decided to use MEWP access as many of the columns were difficult to get to and the ground was uneven. Also, a MEWP could easily be driven to the next location.
At the end of the working day, we tided our working area and then carried out a condition test/report on the installation to make sure the time clock, photo sensor and lights were working correctly. We collected any arisings and removed it from site for subsequent disposal.
